Improving wellness is no small feat, but fortunately smartphones are making it a little easier. There are apps available for nearly every wellness goal you might have, all you have to do is know what to look for. And that is where I come in, Darlings.
1. MyFitnessPal (iPhone & Android)
If you’re trying to lose weight, gain weight, or maintain your current weight, MyFitnessPal will help. There is a huge library of food, even from restaurants that you can add to your daily diary. Based on your goal, the app will recommend a daily caloric intake. You can add exercise in, which will adjust your daily intake, and you can track your weight. It will break down nutrients and warn you when you get close to reaching your limits. Plus you can add your friends and post statuses about your progress.
2. Nike+ Running/Nike+ Training Club (iPhone & Android)
Exercise no longer requires a gym membership. With Nike+ Running and Nike+ Training Club, you can create goals and use the coaching features to help you reach them! Even if you’re a beginner, these apps have training programs for you!
3. Sleep Cycle (iPhone & Android)
This app will change the way you sleep. It uses your movement registered by your iPhone to wake you when you are in light sleep meaning you won’t feel as tired your groggy. All you do is set the Sleep Cycle alarm within 30 minutes of when you want to wake up. It also tracks your sleep cycle data. Life is so much better when you can actually wake up in the morning feeling energized and ready to conquer the world!
4. P Tracker (iPhone & Android)
Alright ladies, it’s time to talk about Aunt Flow, Red Dawn, Shark Week, that time of month. Your period. Do you track it? If not, it’s time to start, and P Tracker is a great way to do it. All you do is press a button when you period starts and press a button when it’s over. The app will track your cycle length, predict your ovulation and fertility windows, and count down to your next period. Plus you can add notes such as the symptoms you’re experiencing and when you are intimate. All of this information is incredibly useful, especially for doctors appointments.
5. Stop Breath & Think (iPhone & Android)
Feeling stressed? No worries, this app has your back. It’s time to get your mediation on. Not only does Breath teach you how to meditate, but it also provides a walk through of all the different meditation exercises in its library, plus it tracks how long and how frequently you are meditating each week. The design is also super cute and inviting.
